This is the first time I'm hearing the Coldplay single, believe it or not, but it's definitely love at first listen for me. But, then, I'm a sucker for anything with vaguely-baroque strings.

Did you hear that 11 songs of David Cook's premiered in the Hot 100 this week. That should make a fun Bottom Feeders: '00s segement in the future.
Honestly, I actually kind of like the dude. That first single does nothing for him but he kind of rocks. Though the album is surely going to be just bordering on rock - not quite as rock as Daughtry, but not an AC record either and will almost certainly be a VH1 staple.
