My wife and I had John Lennon's "Grow Old With Me" sung at our wedding. I can't remember what the first dance was...something by Kenny Rogers (my wife's choice...it was 1985!)

If I had it to do all over again, we would dance to "Only With You" by The Beach Boys. Hate Mike Love if you must, but his lyrics for this song are very nice....plus some nice moody lyrics from Dennis and a great vocal from Carl

Not that I contribute to the site, but I walked down the aisle to "Going to the Chapel", Elvis burst into the "chapel" because my fiancé couldn't continue the vows without him (almost gave my dad a stroke), elvis sang "Love me Tender" and on our way out of the chapel, he sang "Viva Las Vegas" (guess where the wedding was). We walked into the reception to "something to talk about" and danced to "at last" (EJ's version). It was a half traditional and half Vegas style. After 13 years, people still talk about it.

Odd. I saw it in a local store tonight (but didn't have the money.) I guess they jumped the gun.

And yeah, that cover is as plain as can be, but Crenshaw has this weird thing going where he looks older, but also looks just the same as always.

Thanks for sharing your sweet stories and songs. It's such a big decision for an audiophile: the soundtrack for this most poignant occasion. And I love that Kelly has a 'never, but...' song and Dunphy has an 'if' song. Very cool.

I was at a wedding this month that used Randy Newman's "Fells Like Home" as the bride and groom's first dance song. I knew the song, but that's the first time I'd remembered hearing it used at a wedding reception. It did have an impact as a lot of people were asking what the song was and who did it. This was a young couple in their mid-20's, so I was somewhat surprised. Never got a chance to ask them what the significance was for them.
