The Fourteenth Day of Mellowmas: 867-5309 To the World
Two other things.
#1 That acoustic True Colors is *gorgeous*
#2 Weren't Full Force the sworn enemies of Kid and Play in that movie that Kid and Play were in (House Party?)? Was All Cried Out before or after the Kid and Play movie?
Huh? What's that? Guns 'n Roses?
Never mind.
No idea why Cult Jam member Spanador could not duet with L.L.
Signed,
Pete, proud owner of the first 3 Full Force albums (and Lisa Lisa to boot) - and of course it was FF backing UTFO... I'll shut up now.
I love Tina Turner and will pop a cap in any motherfu*ker who argues with me. But I agree that Typical Male isn't her best song and sounds very dated. It's only listenable because of La Tina. There are many other better songs on the album Break Every Rule. Paradise Is Here is fabulous especially the live version on Tina Live in Europe.
Here's hoping it won't be Eddie Money in tight pants next time, though. Halloween is over, kids.
And now for no reason at all . . . True Blue remixes:

The one thing I'd like to ask is could you imagine a duet with Anita and Michael McDonald???
•Julien Temple ("Earth Girls Are Easy") directed the Janet video and used the same kind of one-take shot in the opening of his movie "Absolute Beginners."
•I briefly worked for U-68 in Newark, NJ, an MTV-style music video channel back in the late 80s. Lisa Lisa and her gang visited the studios for the day. The members of Full Force (which was the production team and a separate entity from the trio) were pretty excited to have access to our library of music videos. I was assigned to make them happy by letting them watch whatever they wanted.
What did they want to watch? Every Jimi Hendrix video we had, which I pulled out for them. They oohed and aahed over him for the rest of their visit.
seriously. same song.
