Holy crap! Dan Hill actually has an up-tempo song. I was ready for another sobby ballad with "Can't Break the Same Heart Twice" and then...I heard drums banging out a beat that was faster than the average resting pulse.

That Macleans article about Hill's background is kind of a hoot. I snorted at the bit about his father telling him, "Look, kid, you're no Bruce Cockburn."

Canada is just another country, but sometimes it seems like a whole other world.

Here's an even downer note: Dan wrote the cover story of a Canadian newsweekly a couple weeks ago.
