I knew when they grew up that the Clive contracted AIDS, but why didn't they say it??? I was confused, but I liked the film very much!

I didn't think that at all. The show was probably my first exposure to seeing how a person lives with AIDS.

That was a good show.

Lowe's character in "Life Goes On" was extremely irritating. He's dying of AIDs, but they have to make it extra tragic by making him pretty and young and talented. Like if he were talentless and pimply, it wouldn't be sad.
