Popdose: Dw. Dunphy On… Freudiana | Popdose

I'd always thought that the Alan Parsons Project was some sort of hovercraft.

As a major APP fan, I am proud to say I scored 100% on your little quiz and the correct answer to 4 is "at this point in the game, it is probably too late for anyone to really care".

I would say Freudiana IS definitely better than Vulture Culture, but not Stereotomy. I think Stereotomy is a pretty darned good album. I'd also rank Freudiana above Ammonia Avenue and Eve. Eve. Ugh. Now, there's a horrible album. If you ever need an example of how drum machines can ruin music, put on Eve.

    Quiz Question 5:
Compare and Contrast the outputs of The Alan Parsons Project and Alan Parsons and determine who was the major driving creative force of The Alan Parsons Project. (Hint, it ain't Alan Parsons.)

Gilbert, Sullivan, Woolfson & Weber. Bleah.

(Okay, okay, I like about half the tracks. But this ain't a Project release, and it's obvious to me why.)

Funny, my copy of Freudiana is credited to the Project. Thanks for a nice explanation of a genuinely obscure album that deserves better--the 1-2-3 punch of "No One Can Love You Better Than Me"/"Don't Let The Moment Pass"/"Upper Me" is on a level with much of APP's better known works.
