I was a HUGE fan of Bounce The Ocean and worked in the radio bsuiness at the time of the release. I tried as hard as I could to get the Prgram Director and the Music Director to play something from the album. The MD loved the songs and thought they were very radio friendly but to no avail.

I tried.

Anything that was a part of "Some Girls" is gold in my book. That movie is one of my all-time favorites. Who wouldn't want to melt the snow with Jennifer Connelly (and her sisters)? But while the VHS cover makes Some Girls look like a sex comedy similar Patrick Dempsey's other under-appreciated films of the era, it turns out to be incredibly intelligent, sweet and mystical. And who knew there was an even cooler story behind the film's music? The film needs a DVD reissue and it sounds like Bounce The Ocean deserves another go-round too.
