The drummer for this band was Jud Martindale, born in Hope, AR. I still have the tape of this band and was given to me by him as a present. He and my mother went to high school and remained friends over the years.

Thanks for the write up on this. Same as you I worked in a record store at the time this was released and stole the promo cassette for my own listening pleasure. (Few years later found the CD for like $2 in a cut-out bin) Wondered what happened to these guys as well. Great record. Still listen it to quite often. "Drinking Days" is one of my favorites from this album. Also happens to be one of Bill Davis' (guitarist from Dash Rip Rock) favorite "drinking" songs.

I'd heard "Big Talk" on a Jubilee Dive cassette I'd gotten on the road, and the Gunbunnies nailed it again. Great song, band, thanks for the reminder.

I bought this album as a cut out for ... maybe $2 ... and didn't have high hopes for it. I mean, Look-At-That-Cover-Art. And the freakin' GUNBUNNIES? Oh well, it's only $2.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for the info!

Never knew about Gunbunnies, but Skeleton Key is a personal favorite. They had unique instrumentation too via creative junkyard percussion. After Maxwell's time, Erik Sanko kept the band name alive for the Obtanium album... But it's been all quiet on the Eastern front for almost a decade now.

I saw these guys live at the New Music Seminar, 1990. It was a deal where we had time between two gigs we really wanted to see and took a chance on a band we'd never heard of, these GUnbunnies. It was a fun gig.
