Popdose: Hooks ‘N’ You: International Pop Overthrow
-
Jeremiah · 1 year agoCaught the IPO shows at Molly Malone's this year as it's near my pad - Some notables were The Generous Days (from Norway?), Brandon Schott and Plastic Soul but was absolutely blown away by a band called Just Off Turner. They seem to be Los Angeles based with hooks that will give Maroon 5 a run for their money. I don't understand why those kids aren't famous.

DwDunphy · 1 year agoOh, I wish you had that Chris Rainbow track. The lineage makes sense since Pilot became The Project (Tosh went early on but Paton and Bairnson hung in most of the way) and Rainbow sang on plenty of APP's albums.

WHarrisBullzEye · 1 year agoBelieve me, I looked high and low for it, but to no avail. If I can hunt it down, rest assured that I'll add it and drop you a line to let you know it's out there.

DwDunphy · 1 year agoKind of plays into an idea I've been mulling over for my column - an overview of APP's regular vocalists featuring Rainbow, Paton, Lenny Zakatek, Eric Stewart, John Miles and Colin Blunstone...
