How funny if Foster played on Disco Duck. I imagine if he had a full listing of tracks he played on on his website that one may conveniently be missing.

If I'm not mistaken, Rick Dees appeared on Voices That Care (along with every other person in entertainment or sports). I'm going to dig up my copy of Disco Duck, er, I mean I'll go look it up.

He also co-wrote a musical with Arthur Janov called Scream based on Primal Scream it didn't go anywhere but Celine Dion recorded a song called "Colors of My Love" from the show starring the greatly missed Warren Wiebe.
Also he co-produced Streisand's Broadway albums.

He mentions in his book that he never thought he would work on a musical, but a few years after he left the sessions scene, he worked with art Janov, but that was still floundering. He also mentions that he was approached by Bill Haber at Foster's 58th birthday, to write a musical. He ended up writing 4 songs in one day (he had procrastinated and was down to the wire). He doesn't mention Betty Boop, but I'm guessing it was. Apparently the man wants to do everything. Perhaps he will try blogging next.

Hm, sadly, I sort of like "The Prayer" (Bocelli/Dion version only). And I'm not a big Celine fan ('tho she can sing), nor am I a religious radical. A bit sappy, sure, but pleasant, no? I have a feeling we are at a crossroads where I actually like a few modern-day Foster tunes and everyone else dislikes 'em. No matter, I will travel the crappy road myself. So bring on the so-called crap-Foster stuff.
And speaking about that...I got my HitMan CD/DVD and well, the St elmo's (love theme) is on the CD with Kenny G, no less. Other than that, not all that impressed. And of course, Charice is on it doing her Whitney impression. Haven't watched DVD yet.

You don't scare me, Terje. Alright, maybe a little. If The Foss is responsible, even a little, for Disco Duck (a single I last saw half-burned near a stream in my old neighborhood after a neighbor's small-minded attempt to purify her child's music collection), then this is a more frightening world than I'd previously thought. And Betty Boop, that sexless pinup, if that's his next target, then we might be in for a very formulaic turn in Broadway's fortunes. In your next episode, do we get any rock and roll? Or ever again?

Rock and roll? You come here for rock and roll?

The Disco Duck Rhythm track musicians are: Arp Sythesizer: David Foster, Arp Programmer: Jay Graydon, Electric Piano and Clavinet: Lester Snell, Piano: Swain Schaeffer, Drums: Willie Hall etc etc. The album was recorded at Shoe Productions Studio, Memphis and Overdubs at Ardent Studios, Memphis and Clover Studios Los Angeles. I guess Foster and Graydon worked with the overdubs made in L.A.

Excellent, thanks. I was a little uncomfortable keeping the Disco Duck on my iPod not knowing for certain whether Foster played on it or not - I can finally listen to it without feeling any guilt.
