"And “The Prayer” isn’t that bad, really."

Oh no, Terje fell asleep next to the Celine Pod! He's gone, people!

I enjoyed your review of the DVD. I was also disappointed with the CD (c'mon 9 songs?). I would've liked to have the Michael Johns songs and Boz Scaggs on there. I thought the DVD would be just OK, but I too got caught up in the moment and watching David have so much fun, really added to the enjoyment. I did watch American Idol and Johns was my favorite, but there was some tough competition this year. McPhee, another AI alum, is also a good singer, but a tad boring for me. I dare say that I enjoyed "I Swear" with Babyface and bro. I also liked the "Wildflower" country style. Rumour has it that Foster may take the tribute show on tour. I think Oprah mentioned it, but she may have been mistaken (because he had an odd look when she said it). I can only hope.

I'm also hopeful that there will someday be a David Foster box set! I know how that would excite your Popdose collegues and readers.

"The Prayer" isn't that bad? Hm, I am suspicious of who wrote this post, but I will accept and welcome Terje back to the dark side of MOR music. Mwahahaha!

I would love to hear your review/thoughts on the book. I personally enjoyed the book and found that I have even more respect for David now.

Thanks for the fantastic posts this year and I look forward to your future posts, especially once the fog lifts (from the effects of the DVD). I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas. Now, go put on the David Foster Christmas CD!

Terje, you redeemed yourself with this sentence: 'David Foster’s syrupy ballads doesn’t move my heart these days; John Coltrane and Bill Evans do.' And then you continued to write. I saw the advert for the PBS special, thought of you, then thought 'how odd that I'm thinking of another guy when I think of David Foster.' Then I found a hooker, played some Jaye P. Morgan, and never mind.

Cap'n Fjelde, this Ear of Madness you've unearthed is somehow the most intriguing think on Popdose for me, and you've got incredibly great competition on the site... and I've really never been a fan of The Foss. And yet, week after week, I find myself reading your Foster propaganda and wincing at the syrup you upload; even now I'm listening to Peter 'Undoubtably Damned' Cetera's peculiar performance as I type this. What a strange world.

Merry Christmas, you mad fanboy. May Santa keep you on his nice list in spite of your addiction.

Terje had to drop the Evans and Coltrane references, or "We of Popdose" would have sent the guys in white uniforms with the straitjackets over to his place to haul him off.

It was a coded signal to us meaning "I'm still here, this is camp, but really convincing camp!"

I'm playing "Waltz For Debby" right now in Terje's honour.

Speaking of El Foss, CNN has a story on him today:

    Oy.
