One - Kylie sang "Where The Wild Roses Grow" with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Two - Nick Cave sang "What A Wonderful World" with Shane McGowan
Three - Shane McGowan (as a member of The Pogues) sang "A Fairy Tale Of New York" with Kirsty MacColl
Four - Kirsty MacColl sang backing vocals on ... well every second song recorded in the UK in the late 1980s. But let's go with her backing vocals on "Ask", by the Smiths.
Five - Johnny Marr of The Smiths collaborated with The Pet Shop Boys on their album Release (among others).
Six - The Pet Shop Boys and Dusty Springfield collaborated on their hit "What Have I Done Do Deserve This?"
Seve - Dusty's "Dusty In Memphis" album was produced by Jerry Wexler
Eight - Jerry Wexler produced a couple of flop singles for Sam & Dave (including Ooh Ooh Ooh)
Nine - Sam Moore (of Sam and Dave) and Lou Reed recorded a duet of "Soul Man" for the quickly forgotten 1986 film, uh, "Soul Man"
Ten - Lou Reed played the guitar solos on a couple of tracks on "A Date With The Smithereens"

3. Nina Persson’s vocals also appear on 2 tracks of the Sparklehorse album "It's a Wonderful Life."

Sparklehorse can take you in a number of directions, so I'll just suggest one.

4. Sparklehorse lead singer Mark Linkous performed a cover of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here" featuring vocals from Thom Yorke of Radiohead.

3. The Cardigans recorded a duet cover of "Burning Down the House" with Tom Jones.

With Tom Jones, you can go into a number of musical directions: Tori Amos, Stereophonics, The Art of Noise, and Catatonia. Even more if you include songwriters or album producers -- though I'm not sure they count here.
