I just got the LP of Gift Of Screws in the mail, and inside Reprise gives you a CD as well. The labeling makes a lot of the fact that the CD is made of the uncompressed analog tracks used to master the vinyl, and you can absolutely hear it. I say all that because my obsession of the week is "Love Runs Deeper" and when the power chorus slams in, it's a joy to behold even in my car's less-that-audiophile head unit.

Why that song is not freaking huge on the charts right now says a lot about what's wrong with the music industry.

I had not been all that much into Lindsey Buckingham before hearing "Gift of Screws." I am now. It's that good.

I saw his gig in Indianapolis a few weeks ago and it was easily one of the 10 best shows I've ever seen. He and the band were so into it and had amazing interaction with the crowd. In fact, these two drunk girls in the front badgered him to play "Bleed to Love Her" enough that he did a shortened version. I had hoped to get my vinyl copy of Buckingham Nicks signed at the end of the night, but he was rushed into a waiting S.U.V. before he could really sign anything. The other band members did come out and chat with us and they were all very sweet and gracious. Such a great night.
