Popdose: Lost In The ’70s - Suzi Quatro

  • WHarrisBullzEye · 1 year ago
My favorite piece of Suzi Quatro trivia: one of her nieces is Sherilyn Fenn.

Of course, after I see this I remember that Eddie actually saw Marianne Faithful as "God," while Suzi was merely an angel. Sigh. STUPID FAULTY OLD MAN MEMORY!

    Gotta love AbFab references.

I remember seeing an episode of Happy Days where she sang a song called "Moonlight Love" or some such thing. It was pretty cool, but I've never seen it on any of her records. I think that was the same episode when she sang "Do the Fonzie." Shame that dance never caught on ...

God, weren't Potsie, Richie, and Ralph Malph a great band?

No they weren't. Richie and Ralph had to do all the heavy lifting while Potsie lit up in Arnold's bathroom. Then he'd take the stage smelling like he sucked a skunk's bum because he only bought cheap weed.

Why do you think they called him Potsie?!

(A sequel to my comments on the Roxy Music post about the "Times Square" soundtrack) "Rock Hard" is a great Suzi song- no one ever mentions that one...

The question John (and Jeff, and everyone) is where oh where and when will the definitive Chinn and Chapman retrospective appear? I'm talking deeeeep C&C, like Smokie's Where the Fuck is Alice? and Mud's Tiger Feet. Not just the Great production of the late 70's. Or the brilliance that was all the stuff they wrote for the Sweet.
We need it. Isn't it about time!?

Not sure I am up to the task myself, recuperating from surgery and all, but, do you have some kind of list?

Don't forget that it was Quatro's song "Rock Hard" that was the Sleaze Sisters'
favorite song in the 80's punk rock cult hit Times Square.

I saw Suzi play live last summer and she's still got it!
