...And the award for most obscure Halloween costume goes to anyone who shows up tomorrow in red pants and reddish shirt, effetely dancing around and claiming to be the lead singer of the Skids. (Beats the thousands of Palins we're sure to see.) ((mmm, beating thousands of Palins....))

You scared me for a second there...I thought you were going to go there with your costume idea.

...bottle of Jack...a nylon rope...plaid shirt...

I'm in the Deep South; certain folks wouldn't take time to understand the noose in a Big Country Context.

I might have a belt and a Listen Like Thieves T-shirt though. Hm......

Amazing, amazing band - they put out some fantastic New Wave-style singles. "Working For The Yankee Dollar" is just as good.

Have you heard Jobson's post-Skids band, The Armoury Show? After Adamson hit with his new band, Jobson roped in John McGeoch from Magazine (later in Siouxsie and the Banshees, later still in PiL) to make a one-off record that out-bigs Big Country. Definitely a candidate for Lost In The 80s...

Awesome. Thanks so much for bringing some much needed attention to The Skids and Big Country.

I knew there was a reason that I loved this site.

I had no idea the lead singer of Big Country was in a band prior. Love this song! Thanks for posting.
