They followed him around enough and impressed them with their cuteness so he and his other lackeys were into making their video. Not to mention it being 1986 and everything being completely bananas. meh.

Re: Lost in the ’80s: Curiosity Killed the Cat

"Mary's Prayer" and "Shattered Dreams" are much, much better than "Misfit." You are just plain WRONG, Mr. Hughes. Good day, sir. I SAID GOOD DAY!

Re: Lost in the ’80s: Curiosity Killed the Cat

Biggest memory of this record: a customer shoplifted a copy of this cassette from the store that I worked in at the time. Somehow, I think that there were better releases in 1987 to go to jail over....

Re: Lost in the ’80s: Curiosity Killed the Cat

I had forgotten about this song. Personally, it sounds like "Music from the Edge of Heaven" Wham! with the guy from Level 42 singing over it. Not that that's a bad thing. But I still prefer "Mary's Prayer" by a significant margin.

And if you think the lead singer's name is great, the guitarist and bassist are named Julian Godrey Brookhouse and Nicholas Bernard Throp.

Re: Lost in the ’80s: Curiosity Killed the Cat

Muah, ha, HA.

Re: Lost in the ’80s: Curiosity Killed the Cat

"Free" and "Down To Earth" from their debut were huge in the UK in winter 1987, and as a result, are stuck in my brain. Thanks for reactivating them. No, thank YOU.
