  • What's interesting is the original Looking Glass version is spelled differently: "Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne." I wonder why they changed it for the remake?
  • Somewhat Fascinating Side Note:

    The Go-Go's used to perform this song (badly) in their early punk days.
  • "Johnny, Are You Queer," yes, but not "Jimmy Loves Maryann," as far as I know.

    IRS stopped the Go-Go's from recording "Johnny" first because they were afraid of the controversy!
  • yes, I meant to say it was "Johnny" that they performed. There's a low quality live version on Return To The Valley Of The Go-Go's.
