Holy shit, that Monkees/Maiden mash-up is genius. As for Nirvana mash-ups, I'm partial to the one with Rick Astley...

I agree, it's brilliant! And the Nirvana/Astley mashup seems like another way to Rickroll someone.

I love Dean Gray's American Idiot so much. I can't even listen to the Green Day album anymore because it sounds empty. I love the Monster Mash-ups too.

Maybe it's because I was just reading about him, but listening to the Rick James/Queen mash-up sounds like a long lost Hendrix song.

Wow, the Dean Gray mash-up is actually very moving. Having the female response to Armstrong's voice takes the song to a new level.

And I agree with the others, the Monkees/Maiden mash-up is genius.

Prediction: We emerge from the Double-Oughts, smack ourselves on the heads with the palms of our hands, and cry out, "What was I ever thinking when I actually thought mashups were any damned good?"

You need to check out 'Stroke of Genie-us' which is probably the best mashup ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShPPbT3svAw next to 'Smells like teen booty' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrpB4VOUuc8
