Ted · 1 year agoWhen you first sent me this mix, I just had the mp3 without any song titles. When the k.d. Lang tune came on, it was one of those moments where I knew the song, but couldn't remember the artists. And then when you sent the write up, I had one of those "Well, duh" moments when I saw who it was.

Jack Feerick · 1 year agoReminiscent of the shock when I first heard that song on the radio, way back when, and later found out Whoa, that's k.d. lang? It's a wild card in her catalogue, that's for sure.

Jack Feerick · 1 year agoI should maybe issue a cautionary note here for listeners with pets—headphones might be a good idea with this one. We've got a parakeet, and for whatever reason, when she hears the Granada ambience at the beginning of the mix it drives her batshit crazy for about five minutes—far longer than the duration of the clip. She'll be flapping and chirping and squawking, like she's trying to talk to the birds on the recording. I'd love to know what she thinks she's saying.
