    I'm sorry. I frickin' love this song. And I'm buying tickets to see them in concert this September. So yeah, I guess there is a 13-year old girl hiding somewhere in this (almost) 32-year old male body, but I'm OK with that. At least I am sometimes.

    I was never more than a radio fan of New Kids' music, and I suspect that status will remain unchanged if this track is representative of a real "second coming" of the band. At least the song is on target to get us all reminiscing along with the guys about days gone by and puppy love summer romances. What's with all of the squeaky/scratchy synth, though?

    LMAO. Admittedly, I'm a huge fan of New Kids on the Block, but your article seriously made me laugh. It might make it a little less creepy to know that the song's subtext actually reminisces about the group's relationship with their fans way back when.
    I'm glad you like it, even if it pains you. In the end, can't we just be happy it doesn't have the word "shawty" in it? ;)

    You know - and I'm saying this once again for everyone to read - I've listen to this 6 times since it was posted. I wasn't forced either. I was singing it while I was getting ready for work this morning too. Everything about this is so so wrong.

    You forgot the lyrical poetry of "Summer ended, winter started, it got colder when we parted... ways"

    You know, honestly, if they actually did a good song the album would tank. This is all about the original fans recapturing their youth (no offense to your New Kids fandom, I still pull out She's So Unusual from time to time and sing into my hairbrush) but if they did a really serious album with the top hit producers nobody would go see them. We have current boy bands who are still boys, and nobody in the New Kids made the transition to adult pop star like Bobby Brown did then and Justin Timberlake has now, so for them to try and make a comeback with serious music would really not work. It would be like Kiss playing now without their makeup.

    I wouldn't be too sure about that. Mediabase says Summertime is looking to crack top 40 in a hot minute. And that's with one appearance at Kiis 102.7 and a couple of random radio call ins.
    And yeah nostalgia will play a big part in this, but a lot of fans are (arguably) still in their "youth". I just turned 25, so I have no real need to relive my 6 yr old memories. Some of us just like these dudes and can appreciate a feel good pop song.

    And word on the street from niece says even Jonas Brothers/Miley Cyrus fans are showin some love for the NKs. Looks like their moms raised them right. ;)
