I just used the fact that he's touring for a mediocre record as consolation.

Re: Live Music: Nine Inch Nails @ DCU Center, 11/9/08

I've noticed they've been playing NIN constantly on Indie 103.1 out here in LA. Not sure if its connected with the tour - and not that I have any particular problem with Reznor's music - but it's getting damned annoying to have ten year-old major label music shoved down my throat by a supposedly "independent" radio station.

Re: Live Music: Nine Inch Nails @ DCU Center, 11/9/08

Absolutely, I completely agree.

Re: Live Music: Nine Inch Nails @ DCU Center, 11/9/08

I don't know, Anthony... I think this is the kind of tour that would have been more than worth sitting through the songs you don't like. I didn't think "The Slip" was *great*, though I certainly wouldn't say it was terrible - but I don't think there was a minute of it I would have changed.

Re: Live Music: Nine Inch Nails @ DCU Center, 11/9/08

Sorry Anthony, but you're depriving yourself of a great show. I wasn't that thrilled with The Slip when I first heard it (especially after Year Zero, which I love), but the songs are much better in a live context. I actually enjoy them more now.

And the visuals truly kick ass. I've seen the show three times for them alone...the fact that the current live lineup is amazing is just frosting on the cake.

Re: Live Music: Nine Inch Nails @ DCU Center, 11/9/08

Just noticed the first tag on this past and laughed out loud.

I have to say, I generally love Nine Inch Nails, but I'm so glad I didn't see him live this time around. The Slip is TERRIBLE, and the less I have to hear of it in any context, the better.
