Just watching Bull Durham and at the end they substitute a song for 60 minute Man. It doesn't fit with the video of them dancing.

I know this is old but I need to add this. Those who say the uncredited saxophone solo in the movie is Brandon Fields may be correct, I don't know. But the song is "Love" by Michael Convertino. It is EXTREMELY had to find. The ONLY place I found it is here: https://www.youtube.com/wat... . There are programs to capture the audio for you.

brandon fields is the sax player who is uncredited, he plays all the cool solo sax stuff in the beginning and end of Bull Durham:) mystery solved!

The saxophone player uncredited is " Brandon Fields " he plays all the solo sax stuff in the beginning and End of Bull Durham. Most notably the sexy scene in the end, that is true Brandon Fields licks.

This continues to be one of my favorite movies, one I can watch over and again. I'm looking for the organ music Annie was playing when she invites Crash and Nuke back to her house. It's an instrumental that does not seem to be listed in the credits, and it might be the same artist as in Annie's movie-opening speech. "Baseball Boogie" by Jeff "Skunk" Baxter is the only song in the credits that is not included here, but Baxter is a renowned guitarist, so that is most likely playing in the pool hall when Crash introduces Nuke to Sandy Grimes.

Just watched Bull Durham last night, but not for the first time. For some reason the music grabbed my attention and I looked on the internet to see what was on the soundtrack, because the credits run by too quickly to read. Thanks for your wonderful article about Bull Durham and the soundtrack music. Unfortunately I cannot get them to play. I was able to find most between itunes and youtube. There was another song mentioned on a different list; Baseball Boogie by Jeff Baxter. The only Baseball Boogie I can find is by Mabel Scott? Also someone wanted a haunting song played at the beginning??? organ music and one woman's voice , "yes, yes, yes"? Sounded like a spiritual apparently. I guess I'll have to watch right from the beginning to hear that one. If you are still out there, thanks. Lynn

It is NOT from the Tears for Fears song, working hour - I wish it was that easy to find. It is slightly more beautiful to me, and no one seems to be able to pin-point it... :(

I've always wondered who is singing during the opening credits (partial song). Any idea who that is and what the song is?! It's got an old gospel spiritual sound....just one woman's voice. I've always wanted to know! Please share if you have any ideas. Thanks

Also missing from the soundtrack was the saxophone solo played when Crash left Annie to complete his season. The song (if I'm not mistaken) is the opening saxophone solo from "Working Hour" by Tears For Fears.

Yes, you were thinking like Crash! It just popped out at me because that is one of my favorite lines from the movie--just sums Nuke up so perfectly, and also another indication to Annie why she should be with Crash--since he knows who the heck Edith Piaf is!

This movie was actually on one of the local channels this weekend. So edited for "content" it was damn near unwatchable. However, I stayed with it - just to hear that one line.

Yeah, Mexican.

I dunno how I got Italian in my head all those years ago . . . .

I guess when I was writing this I was thinking more like Crash, who would know who Edith Piaf is, than Nuke, who would confuse the languages. My bad. Thanks for pointing it out.

When Nuke brings his dad by her house, he knows she is in there because he can hear that "crazy Italian singer."

I am probably wrong, I haven't sen that movie in 20 years, but that is what I remember.

Great writeup of a classic movie. However, I believe that Nuke actually refers to Edith Piaf as "that crazy Mexican singer."

It's a very funny movie, with an outlook that sets it apart from all the usual sports-underdog movies. After reading Scott's post, I want to see "Bull Durham" again.
