Great post - I had recently rediscovered "(Livin' In) Desperate Times and wrote about it on my own blog a while back. Anyway, I always remember listening to the ONJ songs and not really appreciating the rest of it until later on in life - if some of the songs can truly be "appreciated." I really liked the movie as a kid, but sadly, it does not hold up.

And thanks for posting that photo of the inside of the vinyl - I had completely forgotten about that!

Olivia was so enchanted in the '80's that she frequently starred in terrible movies where she gave atrocious performances yet still managed to have major hits. Some of her best-known songs are from her awful movies. Her neon nights will shine for you Xanadu!
