I could be wrong here, but I seem to remember a Zapp & Roger song getting a fair amount of play on Macon's R&B station, Foxy 100, in early '93. Is that when "Slow and Easy" came out, rather than mid-'93 or late '93? However, it could be that the easy-listening station, Z108, had started playing "I Want to Be Your Man," more and more around that time.
... I should've listened to the song first -- I don't think I'd heard it before now. Therefore Z108 must've been playing "I Want to Be Your Man" in early '93 and that's what stuck in my memory.

"Zapp" is the nickname of the Troutman brother who did not murder Roger. I think his name is Terry.
