I saw Letters to Cleo play in Providence RI around 1994. My friends and I were instant fans. WE bought the CD at the show and wore it out. Regrettably that disc was stolen and when I had to re-purchase the CD it was the re-issue. Here and Now was different sounding (the version on Beavis and Butthead is the newer version). When I met my wife I played L2C for her and she thinks of herself as being a bigger fan of theirs than I am. I'd kill to take her to see them play now. I doubt that they would play Knoxville, but if they do we will be front and center!

Well, as usual, Beavis hit the nail on the head when he began spouting jibberish approximating the "Here & Now" lyric. I never knew the actual words until I began researching this interview. They are (if the Internet consensus is to be believed):

"The comfort of a knowledge of a rise above the sky
above I'll never parallel the challenge of an acquisition"

With apologies to Kay and the boys, while those lyrics are nicely profound (if obtuse), the jibberish is more fun...

Keep checking back to the band's site -- the information I got was that the set would be "exclusively" available there and at the band's shows. Maybe it's just not ready yet.

I am a huge fan of Letters To Cleo. I saw them in West Palm Beach when they were touring for the Go! album, and they blew me away. I met the entire band after the show, and they could not have been nicer or more accomodating for their fans. I did not see any links for the B-sides album on their website. I would love to get this, if I knew where it was available.

Thanks for this! I was a Letters to Cleo fan 'back in the day' and had no idea what had become of Kay Hanley...I sure wouldn't have guessed she was clocking in as backup for Miley! Good for her, tho, getting to stick with music and doing her own thing on the side.
