I was waiting to hear Jason break down McD's work on the "South Park" soundtrack, but it never came up. (Hipster irony, or genuine McD love on the part of Parker & Stone?) The Daryl Hall stuff had me rolling.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

Great! It was informative, entertaining, and I actually did laugh out loud a few times while I was running. Wonder what that passersby must have thought!

Keep it up!

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

Make sure to watch the episode of "Live From Daryl's House" featuring Todd Rundgren. They make sausages. I'm not kidding.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

I guess I could always tell my Robbie Nevil 45's and vintage Toto tees, right?

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

Shit, I guess then you are, essentially, telling your friends.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

Friends? The site is moving past some repository to grab free songs from, and becoming the magazine we've always seen it as.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

Thank you for the ASCAP/BMI demanding fees for samples info - very interesting!

Speaking of Christmas music and the 'Saw Lady' - you should check out her musical saw Christmas CD (way better than the one that was on the radio last year - I forget it's name but it was a guy playing the saw). She has samples of it on her website.
I see her at 59th & Lex all the time. Her hat & shirt don't say 'Saw Lady' - it says SawLady.com - which I think is a very clever way of advertising her website. Check out the photo you took of her - you got an advertisement for her website in it!

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

I am sitting in my cube trying to stifle my laughter. I know the music reviews with downloadable songs were a way to get readership up on certain posts, but the last few reviews you've done without featuring a couple of downloadable songs have done well in terms of page views.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

That's a fantastic idea - perhaps Winger could even record a new version.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

Perhaps "Can't Get Enuff" by Winger.

Re: The Popdose Podcast: Episode 1

I think an official theme song from Wing is in order.
