The Popdose 100: The Best Movies of the Decade
That's apropos, considering it's Skynyrd.
Wait ... what? We're not doing "Cowboy"? What do you mean it's not a Christmas song?
To this day, I have no idea why .38 Special had two drummers.
In high school, I thought Skynyrd was pretty cool. But I lost all interest in them when I moved to Jacksonville, FL where the classic rock radio playlist was something like this...
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Pink Floyd
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Led Zeppelin
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Boston
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Molly Hatchet
Lynyrd Skynyrd
.38 Special
Lynyrd Skynyrd
AC/DC
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Def Leppard
Lynyrd Skynyrd
something they considered "daring" like Jethro Tull
repeat
I must admit that I enjoyed the .38 Special track. Not counting the Alan O'Day theme song, it's the first Mellowmas track I listened to all the way through.
You mean to say that you didn't listen to "Funky Funky Xmas" all the way through?
You gutless bastard.
How dare you sully the very idea of Mellowmas by going into it with such half-heartedness.
You have to leap into the misery with both feet, never looking back at your innocent pre-Millowmas self; never doubting for a moment that you will be a stronger, better person for the suffering.
Now you go back and listen to all of these songs all the way through. Twice!
