Wow, Jon, this Marti/Dixon series has been outstanding. I miss her voice, but it's nice to see how happy she is these days. All the best to her.

Very classy lady. I like her attitude!

Your series last week got me to dig out the three CDs I have by her and revisit them for the first time in many years. I even liked "Any Kind Of Lie". I always remembered it as being too Adult Contemporary or something, but this listen I enjoyed it quite a bit.

What a great interview! Thanks for this!

(And seriously, how much would it cost to license "Unsophisticated Time" and the "Color Me Gone" EP from A&M? We'll print up 500 copies on the Popdose label and be sold out in days...)

Marti's paintings rock! Thanks for a great interview! You still have plenty of fans out here!

If I begged, would you post the title track to "Unsophisticated Time," too?

There is no title track to "Unsophisticated Time." The words are taken from "Follow You All Over the World," which I posted last week: "Three weeks in Rome/In someone else's summer home/In unsophisticated time/We were foolish all the while..."

I really enjoyed this interview, though none of the MP3 links worked. I found this because I've had a search on eBay for six months trying to find a CD of Unsophisticated Time. I thought I'd take another look on the web and found out about the Color Me Gone EP, so then I had to search for that one, too. Used Guitars is one of my all-time favorite albums and I have two of the others as well.

Wow, how well I remember those magical shows at the 9:30 Club! The best had to be the time she sang "To Sir With Love." Great Stuff! I live in Silver Spring, MD. What is the name of the gallery? "Inside These Arms" gave me the confidence to accept myself, and my sexuality, all those years ago. I miss her music, but listen to her cd's often...like weekly!
