The Sleaze Sisters from Times Square? Or were they a real band? I dunno, since I was about 8 years old when I caught it on HBO... Now I can't track down the film OR the (super-excellent) soundtrack. If you can... hoo boy! I'd love ya!

Um, why did a mangy cat just show up with a suitcase and gack up hairballs all over my house?

I believe I spent half my adolescence reading Bloom County books on the head. I've tried to introduce my 12-year-old to them, but he's not quite ready yet. Anyways, thanks for the memories, Dw.--and please don't send the penguin. My wife can't stand the smell of herring.

Great coverage, thannk you very much...
Anyhow I was hoping to find The Wonders' (or were they still the 'OneDers' then) 'That Thing You Do in the article after reading last week's edition..
    well, maybe someday...

I've been waiting on a copy of Mike Viola's album Lurch to find it's way here. When it comes around, I should be able to do a review at which time I could shoe-horn in "That Thing You Do" (Viola was the writer/singer of the song...)

Bloom County. Acckkkk! How I loved that strip.

I'm love for it to get the same anthology treatment as The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes.
